Lane’s Privateer Inn

Built in 1798, this converted privateer mansion had been operated by the Lane family for 57 years. The restaurant, pub, and stone patio overlook the Mersey River. In the summer, the lobster boils and planked salmon supper on the lawn gives visitors a true Taste of Nova Scotia experience.

Lane’s Privateer Inn specializes in seafood, chowder, sandwiches on freshly baked breads, steaks and desserts, accompanied by an extensive wine and cocktail list and ten NS craft beers on tap. Try a flight of NS appellation wine, Tidal Bay. As well, visit Snug Harbour Books and café with on-site bakery and espresso bar.

The Lane’s experience features 23 guestrooms with local artwork, live Irish music every other Friday, patio parties with live music throughout the summer, wine tastings, and trivia events.
